Lucid, a California-based electric vehicle (EV) maker, has revealed a high-performance racing motor for its upcoming EVs.

The new motor is designed for use in the Lucid Air electric luxury sedan and is capable of delivering up to 800 horsepower.

It has been developed in partnership with EV engineering firm Integral Powertrain, which has a proven track record in designing high-performance EV powertrains.

According to Lucid, the new motor is "lighter, more powerful, and more efficient" than other EV motors currently available in the market.

It features an advanced cooling system, which helps maintain optimal performance during high-speed driving and racing.

Lucid plans to use the new motor in its own electric racing vehicles, as well as sell it to other EV manufacturers and racing teams.

The company says the motor will be made available in several configurations, allowing customers to choose the level of performance and power that best suits their needs.

The motor is part of Lucid's wider strategy to become a major player in the EV market, with plans to launch a range of electric cars over the next few years.

Lucid is also set to unveil its first production model, the Lucid Air, later this year, which is expected to have a range of over 500 miles on a single charge.

With its high-performance racing motor, Lucid aims to showcase the potential of EVs in the motorsports arena, and help push the boundaries of what is possible with electric powertrains.
