Tech Benchmark QQQ ETF Slips Lower in Volatile Thursday Session

NEW YORK, NY – The Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1 (NASDAQ: QQQ), a widely watched exchange-traded fund (ETF) mirroring the Nasdaq-100 index, experienced downward pressure and volatility in Thursday morning trading.

As of 11:28 AM EDT on April 11th, the popular ETF was trading at $444.70 per share. This represents a decline of 0.33%, or $1.48, from its previous close.

The fund started the day near its prior closing price of $446.18 but saw significant intraday swings. The 1-day chart shows the QQQ initially climbed towards the $450 level before reversing sharply, dipping below $442, and then partially recovering to its current level around $444.70.

The QQQ ETF serves as a key barometer for the performance of major non-financial companies listed on the NASDAQ, particularly within the technology sector. Its movements are closely tracked by investors gauging market sentiment and tech industry health.
